11/4/2011 8:26:00 PM

Box Score AMHERST, NY - The Wildcats roared back from a 10-point deficit (57-47) with 5:30 left to play and scored the game's last 12 points in a 59-57 victory over Wilfrid Laurier.  Ellie Allen scored seven of those points including a three-pointer with 2:01 left which gave Daemen their first lead since the 17:10 mark.  One play earlier Allen had a three-point play hitting a lay-up and getting fouled off of a feed from Chelsea Andorka on the fast break.

The Wildcats' prospects for earning their fourth straight victory didn't look good midway through the second half after Laurier used an 18-2 run to take a 52-38 lead with 10:28 left to play.

"it was great to see us comeback like we did but hopefully we can play with more energy throughout the game in the future," said Daemen head coach Dave Skolen.  "I am excited to come away with a win."

Allen led the Wildcats with 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Chelsea Andorka added 14 points, two assists, two blocks, and two steals.  Jordyn Broas had some big baskets and had 13 points and seven rebounds.

Wilfrid Laurier was led by Doreen Bonsu (10 points, 11 rebounds) and Laura Doyle (10 points).

The Wildcats are now 4-0 on the year.  They will host Brock University tomorrow at 12:00pm.
