RUTLAND, VT - The Daemen Wildcats used a 23-5 run to open the second half to take control of the game en route to a 91-71 victory over the host College of St. Joseph Fighting Saints this afternoon. Daemen, whose now won five of their last six ballgames, improves to 13-9 on the season after winning their final non-conference game of the season. The Fighting Saints of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) fall to 14-5.
The Wildcats were paced by the combination of senior
Dom Mazzocchi and junior
Jim Regan who each pumped in a game-high 21 points. Sophomore
Kadeem Johnson threw in a career-high 15.
Devon Dawson came off the bench and scored all 14 of his points in a second half that saw the visitors out-score the Fighting Saints 51-34.
Dre Anderson led CSJ with 16 points off the bench.
