Box Score ELMIRA, NY - The Daemen College women's soccer team suffered its' fourth straight loss today, dropping a 2-0 decision at the hands of the Elmira Soaring Eagles. The loss sends Daemen to 3-7 overall this season while Elmira ups its' record to 4-7-1.

For the second time in their last four games, the Wildcats found themselves down a goal in the game's opening minutes. Elmira's Kelsie DeKarski scored an unassisted goal in the second minute to put the Soaring Eagles ahead early. DeKarski scored after her initial shot was saved by Daemen's Kayla Hampton (DeRuyter, NY/DeRuyter HS), pouncing on the rebound and pinching it into an open net.

Later, Elmira's Emily Karpinski scored off a feed from teammate Emily Kelly in the 56th minute, putting the Soaring Eagles up by two.

Daemen managed 21 total shots in the contests but placed only eight on frame, all of which were saved by Camilla Greeby who picked up the shutout for Elmira.

Hampton stopped nine Soaring Eagle attempts to keep the Wildcats in it.

"We struggled again with finishing and getting our midfielders involved in the attacking third," said Daemen head coach Dan Dolan. "We played with five freshmen out there for the majority of the game. With this young group, we are still learning how to win games at the college level."

Daemen looks to regroup when they face NCAA Division II Davis & Elkins in game number five of eight in a row away from home on Wednesday, October 10.
