Daemen (19-6) has been ranked No. 1 in the last seven United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I polls. The Wildcats are 10-1 at home this season and have posted an impressive 47-7 record at Lumsden Gym over the past four seasons.
Consistency, a balanced offensive attack and a stingy defense have been the keys to success for head coach
David Skolen. Daemen has started the same five players in all 25 games, six different players are averaging at least 7.8 points per game, and the Wildcats are limiting their opponents to an average of just 58 points a game. Daemen is averaging 75.8 points per game and erupted for 62 first-half points in a 102-64 win at Fisher College last Monday. The 62 points is just one point shy of tying the school-record for points in a half set against Ursuline in December of 2009.
