ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's soccer team fell on the road today, dropping a 4-0 decision in East Coast Conference action to home-standing Molloy College at the RVC Sports Complex.
With the loss, Daemen drops to 1-9-0 overall and 0-4-0 in ECC play. Â The Lions, who finished just outside of ECC Tournament contention last season, kept their unblemised league mark intact (3-0-0) while picking up their fifth overall win of the season (5-2-0).
After a scoreless first half, the hosts went on a goal-scoring binge with four second-half tallies. Â Orlando Castaneda opened the scoring with his second marker of the season, putting Molloy on the board at the 54:17 mark.
MC's Adam Carnwath made it a 2-0 MC advantage with his first goal of the year in the 66th minute.
The Lions added tallies from Mosiah Whyte and Angelo Bordenca in the game's final five minutes.
Whyte picked up an assist on the Castaneda goal to give himeself a three-point game, whlie Anthony Cestaro posted assists on the first two MC goals today.

Justin Figler (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) made four saves in defeat. Â His counterpart, Raul Bonilla, made two saves to post the shutout.
Molloy just out-shot Daemen 17-16 while placing eight attempts on frame. Â Freshman forward
Ali Shawish (Lackawanna, N.Y./Lackawanna) put up six shot attempts, including one of the Wildcats' two shots on goal, to pace the Daemen offense.
The Wildcats return home to face Roberts Wesleyan College this Wednesday, October 5.
