AMHERST, N.Y. - The winter storm that has brought significant snowfall and frigid temperatures to Upstate New York has caused the Daemen College men's and women's indoor track and field teams to cancel their scheduled trip east on the New York State Thruway to participate in the Colgate Class of '32 Invitational today.

First-year head coach Paul Lagno reported the decision this morning, although the meet itself will continue as planned.

With today's cancellation, Lagno's teams will next compete at the Marc Deneault Invitational hosted by Cornell University next Saturday, February 20.  That meet will serve as the Wildcats' final tune-up for the East Coast Conference Championships which are slated for February 26-27 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
