| Daemen: Â Stephanie Albano enters her first season as the head women's volleyball coach at Daemen...she was promoted to the position after serving as the Associate Head Coach in 2015...a Western New York native, she led Lancaster High School to the 2004 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class AA championship...she went on to help the University of North-Carolina-Chapel Hill capture two Atlantic Coast Conference championships throughout her college career (2005-2009)...previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Buffalo in 2014...helped the Bulls to a 17-15 record and the program's first Mid-American Conference Tournament appearance since 2010...began her coaching debut at Canisius College as an assistant from 2009-10...later was the Associate Head Coach at Medaille from 2012-2014...helped the Mavericks earn their first ever AMCC championship and NCAA tournament appearance..assisted by 2014 Daemen graduate Kaley Vazquez and Don Gleason. |

| Daemen returns seven players to the 2016 squad while adding seven new faces...four starters return as well as the Wildcats' top libero...the Wildcats were recently voted to finish fourth in the East Conference this season, according to the ECC preseason poll, after compiling a 12-17 overall and 7-9 conference record in 2015...ECC Rookie of the Year Ashley Drzymala, returns as a powerhouse outside hitter after a stellar freshman season...Drzymala led the league in both kills per set (3.60) and service aces per set (0.51) while racking up 12 double-doubles...the Wildcats also welcome back her sister, senior leader Amber Drzymala who finished second on the team in total attacks (934), kills (257) and kills per set (2.60)...junior Katie Mckrell returns as the floor general at the setting position...the three-time ECC Setter of the Week in 2015 became the fifth player in team history to reach over 1,000 helpers in a single season...rounding out the returning starters is junior middle blocker/right-side hitter Rachel Stephenson who registered 31 blocks, ranking second behind graduate Ye Wang in 2015...sophomore libero Kailey Ballou is back after a strong defensive showing in 2015, highlighting the season with a pair of 22-dig performances...seven newcomers include four who have state championships under their belt, a Division I transfer, a strong setter from a commanding Colorado program, and a 6-foot-2 Romanian Junior National team player...The Wildcats opened the 2016 season by winning three of their four matches last weekend at Ram Fest, a multi-team tournament hosted by West Chester University...after dropping their season opener in straight sets to West Chester (18-25, 24-26, 24-26), Daemen rebounded to beat Shaw, Philadelphia and Millersville...Amber Dryzmala finished the weekend with a team-high 47 kills and registered the second 20-20 game of her career with 21 kills and 21 digs in the win over Millersville...freshman Bailey Dolegowski had a stellar performance in her debut as a Wildcat, tallying 145 helpers and 43 digs while posting three double-doubles as the primary setter...Daemen saw strong offensive performances from redshirt-sophomore Courtney Scanlan and sophomores Courtney Bernard and Ashley Dryzmala who combined to account for 113 of Daemen's 201 total kills...Daemen's strong defensive showing was paced by freshman Jess Kranz who registered 43 digs and chipped in with nine assists on the weekend. |

| Slippery Rock is a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and was picked to finish fourth in the Northwestern Division of the PSAC...in 2015, the Rock posted a 10-25 overall record that included a 3-19 conference mark...head coach Laurie Lokash enters her 33rd season...she is ranked 10th in wins with an impressive 601 among NCAA Division II active coaches...12 players return for the Rock with the addition of six freshman...standout senior Leah Jones returns after leading the Rock with 326 kills, 309 digs and 27 aces, registering a team-best 10 double-doubles... middle-hitter Jaden Zimmer is back after compiling 70 total blocks and starting in 33 of 34 matches last season...Courtney Oberlander returns after making an immediate impression as a defensive specialist for the Rock, leading the team in digs with 593...junior Lamija Alisic returns as a strong presence up front, registering four double-doubles last season...Haley Defibaugh will lead at the setting position...after being the only player to see time in all 123 sets in 2015, she tallied a team high 898 assists and ranked second in digs with 314...SRU opened their 2016 campagin by splitting four non-conference matches at the Spike Out Hunger Challenge hosted by Winston-Salem State...the Rock beat Less-McRae 3-0, led by Jones and Brooke Bostwick who posted eight kills apiece...Defibaugh tallied 18 assists in the win and Oberlander recorded a team-high 14 digs...first-year player Kaley Fucci helped lead the Rock to a 3-1 win over Chowan with a team-high 13 kills...SRU saw two defeats to Mount Oliver (25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 25-22) and Winston-Salem State (25-20, 25-19, 26-24) to close out tournament action. |

| Lake Erie is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and was predicted to finish sixth in the Southern Division for 2016...head coach Kevin Foemen enters his second season with the Storm who finished 2015 with a 9-20 (2-15 GLIAC) record, the best overall record in school history since transitioning to NCAA Division-II...Lake Erie returns nine players from the 2015 squad with the addition of six fresh faces...the Storm closed out the 2015 season by winning three of their final six matches, including a huge five-set upset over Ashland who led the Southern Division...several key players are back for the young Storm team…2015 All-GLIAC honorable mention Crystal Kedroske, who registered 239 kills and 362 in her first year, looks to lead Lake Erie…veterans Madison Russel and Leondra Barret recorded 265 and 195 kills respectively up front…returning at the setting position are sophomores Alexis Thomas and Courtney Stedman who dished out 517 and 303 assists correspondingly…the Storm opened up the 2016 season at the 5th Annual Tony Banner Memorial Tournament this past weekend, dropping matches to Gannon, Clarion and Cedarville…freshman Brooke Pieffer was named to the All-Tournament Team after recording 40 kills and 49 digs…libero Sydney Fletcher recorded 47 assists in last weekend's action. |

| Assumption College is a member of the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) and was recently selected to finish 13th in the preseason poll…first-year head coach Elyse Rowland returns six players from the 2015 squad with the addition of four newcomers…the Greyhounds posted a 7-18 record in 2015 and feature no seniors on this young team…Kiki Romanik returns as the go-to setter after a standout sophomore campaign, averaging 8.17 assists per set…offensive threats Olivia Burke, Kellie Smith and Julia Goyette are also back for the Greyhounds…junior Maria Chrisom will lead the defense for Assumption after tallying a team-high 387 digs…sister Breanna Chrisom, Sydney Hofmann and Kelly Dorandi are crucial freshman players looking to make an immediate impact…the Greyhounds lost in straight sets to St. Anselm to begin the 2016 season…Smith notched nine kills, while Chrisom registered 16 digs and Romanik had 18 helpers in the opening match…Assumption bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Salem International…freshmen Tess Haller and Zara Valez paced the Greyhounds combining for 15 kills in the victory. |

| The College of Saint Rose is a member of the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) and was recently picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll…the Golden Knights are coming off of a 12-12 record in 2015, reaching the first round of the NE-10 Conference Tournament…Vanessa Volpe-Rivera enters her first year as the head coach after working as an assistant for three seasons…Rivera returns 10 players from the 2015 squad with the addition of three freshman…five starters return including captains Maryellen Devic, Erica Ziskin and Jennifer Gundrum…veteran outside hitter Devic is a two time All-NE-10 first-team selection, registering a team-best 312 kills and 39 service aces in 2015…Gundrum is an intimidating presence up front for the Golden Knights, blocking 80 balls last season…Ziskin and sophomore Sam Kubik will split action at the setting position after dishing out 900 combined assists…freshman players to keep an eye on are Stevie Schweitzer, Tina Ceriello and Madison Gerace…Assumption triumped over Concordia in straight sets (25-9, 25-20, 25-21) to break open the 2016 year…Devic posted 10 kills and Rachel Salasky added eight in the Greyhound win…the setting duo of Ziskin and Kubik combined for 35 assists, and defensive specialist Samantha Atchinson collected a team-best 15 digs…the Knights are coming off a 3-0 defeat to the Post University Eagles…Gundrum finished the match with six kills, and Devic posted a match-high 12 kills in the loss. |

| Freshman setter Bailey Dolegowski got her career off to a great start last weekend and was named the ECC Rookie of the Week...in helping Daemen to three wins in four matches at the Ram Fest tournament, the 5-foot-8 setter tallied 145 assists and 43 digs...she posted three double-doubles and recorded a high of 58 assists in a five-set thriller vs. Millersville. |

Sept. 9:Â In 2005, Daemen traveled to Livonia, Mich. to partake in the Julie Martin Memorial Tournament. Â The Wildcats dropped four straight matches over two days of play, and finished the 2009 season with a 6-32 record.
Sept. 10:Â In 2010 at the Walsh/Malone Canton Comfort Inn Tournament, Daemen split a pair of matches, lossing 0-3 to the University of Northwester Ohio then bouncing back to beat Aquinas College 3-2 in a tight fought five-set battle. Â Middle blocker Katilin Watchey tallied a team-high nine kills, and Kaley Vazquez dished out 15 assists and recorded 10 digs in the Wildcat victory. |
