Daemen dropped to 0-10 overall and 0-5 in league play with the loss. LIU Post snapped a five-match slide to improve to 2-5 overall and 2-3 the ECC. LIU Post opened up a 1-0 lead in the match after scoring a pair of wins in doubles play. In a new scoring format for NCAA Division II matches this season, the outcome of doubles matches will award a single point to the team winning at least two of the three matchups, as opposed to awarding points for each individual doubles victory. Charlotte Hynes and Christina Jud put the Pioneers ahead with a 6-0 win in the No. 2 doubles position over DC's Courtney Otis (Marcellus, N.Y.) and Alliya Foster (Bronx, N.Y.) The Pioneers secured the doubles point when Shanice Arthur and Veronika Koudelkova outlasted Stasiuk and Robins 6-4 in the No. 1 doubles position. In singles play, Stasiuk took down Arthur in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) at the top of lineup, and Robins picked up a win in the second position when Koudelkova retired in the second set. For Stasiuk, she's now 5-6 in singles play this season, and 23-16 in her career. Robins, third all-time in singles wins in team history, earned her third of the season and 36th of her career. Hynes and Jud each earned wins in the third and fourth singles positions, and LIU Post was awarded points by default in the fifth and sixth singles position to close out the scoring. Daemen is idle until Oct. 19 when they'll host Molloy College.
