Women's Soccer Holds At Number 9 In Regional Poll 10/14/2019 4:40:00 PM By: By Mike Miranto, Sr. Associate A.D. for External Operations & Communications AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's soccer team is the ranked ninth in the latest United Soccer Coaches East Region poll which was released this afternoon. It's the third straight week that the Wildcats have been included in the poll. They made their first-ever appearance on Sept. 30 at No. 10. The Wildcats remained at No. 9 for the second straight week following recent road wins over Shepherd University (2-1) and Queens College (1-0). At 8-1-2 overall, Daemen is off to the best start to a season in program history. The Wildcats enter the week in a tie for second place in the East Coast Conference standings with a 2-1-1 league record. Daemen returns to action today with a key ECC road contest against Molloy College (7-3-1, 2-2-0 ECC). A showdown with College of Saint Rose, the No. 1 ranked team in the region, looms this weekend (Saturday, Oct. 19 at Albany, N.Y.).
