Gleason Offering Volleyball Clinics For Middle School Kids

AMHERST, N.Y. - Don Gleason, head men's volleyball coach at Daemen College, will offer two clinics for middle school-aged boys and girls in the coming weeks.

The Daemen Volleyball Middle School Clinics will run at Lumsden Gymnasium, home of Daemen's NCAA Division II men's and women's volleyball programs, on the college's Main Street campus. The first clinic session occurs on Sunday, March 15 and the second runs on Saturday, April 11. Both clinics will be conducted from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on those dates.

The clinics are open to boys and girls in grades six through eight and participants can expect to work with Gleason and his coaching staff, as well as Daemen's volleyball student-athletes. Fundamentals of the game will be taught in a safe, fun and competitive environment.

More information, including a camp registration form, can be found HERE. Prices for single session ($20) and double session ($35) participants are available. For answers to further questions, Gleason can be reached at (716) 698-7704 or via email.

As always, information on all Daemen College sports camps and clinics can be found on the sports camps and clinics webpage.

All Daemen College sports camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants. Each camp may limit registration only by number, age, grade level and/or gender. Further, NCAA rules prohibit representatives of Daemen's athletics interests (a booster) who is not naturally or legally responsible for a prospective student-athlete (grades 9-12) from providing any expenses to attend a camp or clinic. Violations of this could result in loss of NCAA eligibility for the prospective student-athlete. If you have questions regarding this or any other NCAA rule, please contact the Daemen Office of Compliance at (716) 839-8587.
