Women's Bowling Suffers Tight Losses At Daemen Quad-Match

LOCKPORT, N.Y. - The Daemen College women's bowling team resumed its pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season today by hosting the Daemen Quad-Match at Allie Brandt Lanes. The Wildcats suffered a trio of close losses tonight, falling by a combined 75 pins in three Baker total pinfall matches.

MATCH #2: D'Youville 832, Daemen 803
(141-162, 204-165, 174-164, 124-180, 160-161)

MATCH #3: Hilbert 804, Daemen 790
(165-117, 144-169, 162-167, 170-191, 149-160)


Before tonight's matches, graduating seniors Katlyn Newberry (Rochester, N.Y.), Adrianna Pencek (Dunkirk, N.Y.) and Alex Syrotynksi (East Greenbush, N.Y.) were honored in a pre-match ceremony. The trio competed in the final home match of their careers today. Fellow seniors Alex Hasiotis (Rochester, N.Y.) and Megan Kidder (Akron, N.Y.) will return to the team next season. 

Daemen (3-8) heads to Long Island this weekend to compete in the East Coast Conference Championships. The conference tournament is slated for February 26-27 at Bowlero in Mineola, N.Y.
