FREDONIA, N.Y. - The Daemen women's tennis team continued its strong start to the 2020-21 season by shutting out host Fredonia State 9-0 in non-conference action this afternoon at the Steele Hall Courts.
With the win, Daemen improved to 3-0 on the season. It marks the best start to a season in the nine-year history of the program. The Wildcats are a perfect 18-0 in singles matches and a perfect 9-0 in doubles matches so far this season.
Fredonia State, which opened its season yesterday with an 8-1 victory over D'Youville, dropped to 1-1. The Blue Devils are members of NCAA Division III and the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
