The announcement of award winners was made via the league's weekly sport report which was released this afternoon. Miranto becomes the first Daemen women's soccer player to be honored with an ECC weekly award this season, and the first Daemen player to be selected ECC Women's Rookie of the Week since current teammate Alyssa Diaz (Rochester, N.Y.) did so on Nov. 8, 2021. Miranto, a product of North Tonawanda High School, has started 12 of Daemen's 13 games this year. She is tied for the team lead in goals (2) and ranks second in points (5) and shots on goal (10). Daemen is 2-1-1 over its last four games and stands at 2-9-2 overall and 2-3-0 in the ECC. The Wildcats are idle until Saturday (Oct. 22) when they travel to long-time rival Roberts Wesleyan University for a league match.
