Time Changes Announced For 2022 East Region Challenge

AMHERST, N.Y. – Time changes have been announced for the upcoming East Region Challenge presented by Western New York Knee and Orthopedic Surgery PC, set to take place Nov. 11-12 at Lumsden Gymnasium. The four-team tournament will mark the start of the 2022-23 season for the Daemen men's basketball team.

The time changes became necessary after the Daemen women's volleyball team clinched the East Coast Conference regular season championship last night, and with it the right to host the 2022 ECC Championship tournament Nov. 11-12 at Lumsden Gymnasium.

All volleyball games that weekend will take place in the evening. The opening round games of the East Region Challenge that were set to take place in the evening on Nov. 11 will now be played in the afternoon. Day two of the East Region Challenge (Nov. 12) will still take place in the afternoon, but the start times have been moved back an hour.

The updated start times for the 2022 East Region Challenge are:

Friday, Nov. 11
Roberts Wesleyan vs. Saint Anselm – 11 a.m.
Daemen vs. Georgian Court – 1 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 12
Georgian Court vs. Roberts Wesleyan, 11 a.m.
Daemen vs. Saint Anselm, 1 p.m.

Tickets for the East Region Challenge and all of Daemen's 2022-23 home games will be available to purchase through Daemen's online ticketing manager beginning next week.
