Wildcats Ranked In NTCA Division II/III Poll For First Time

3/10/2022 4:05:00 PM

AMHERST, N.Y. - For the first time in program history, the Daemen women's bowling team is included in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Division II/III Poll. The Wildcats are No. 14 in the latest poll which was released today.

With a 49-33 record this season, Daemen has established a new program record for wins, eclipsing the previous benchmark of 40 wins set during the 2019-20 campaign.

The Wildcats have been especially hot of late. After taking a 10-week hiatus between matches and resuming their season in mid-February, coach Carrie Racsumberger's team has posted a 29-11 record. Included in that stretch are a pair of tournament titles. The Wildcats claimed first place finishes at the Brother Patrick Lacey Memorial Tournament hosted by St. Vincent College and the Wildcat Division II Invitational hosted by the University of Wilmington (Del.).

Most recently, the Wildcats took home a third place finish at their own tournament - the Daemen Classic. It marked the first time in the seven-year history of the program that Daemen hosted its own invitational.

Voting for the NTCA Division II/III Poll is conducted by member head coaches from NCAA institutions. The full poll this week includes:
