Men’s Tennis Wins At Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va. -- The Daemen men's tennis team opened a two-day road trip to northern Virginia by defeating the host Shenandoah Hornets, an NCAA Division III affiliate, by an 8-1 final tonight. The match was played under the Division III scoring format which awards points for each match.

  • Daemen has won three of their last six matches and snapped a two-match slide with tonight's victory.
  • Laplante's success tonight gives him 10 combined singles/doubles wins this season - best on the team. He has won three of his last four singles matches and leads the team with five singles wins.
  • With wins in both singles and doubles play tonight, Vance surpassed the 20 win mark for his career.
  • Tonight's match marked the first-ever meeting between the Wildcats and Hornets.
