Daemen, which posted a 3-7 mark during their traditional fall season, improved to 4-9 on the year. The host Golden Bears dropped to 2-4. Daemen picked up a 6-1 win at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to earn the one point as per NCAA Division II scoring. The Wildcats also picked up a win by default at No. 3 doubles. The Wildcats secured the win by winning the first three singles matches in straight sets. Junior Frida Rubio (San Diego, Calif.) posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over freshman Ava Lewis at No. 1 singles and sophomore Kitsa Scime (Williamsville, N.Y.) cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over junior Sarah Lazarchak at No. 2 singles. Daemen picked up its match-clinching fourth point after sophomore Yinett Del Leon (Cape Coral, Fla.) posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over senior Brianna Wendling at No. 3 singles. Freshman Carly Armitage (Rochester, N.Y.) and senior MacKenzie Schayes (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) were victorious at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, while the Wildcats picked up a win by default at No. 6 singles. Scime improved to 11-5 in singles play on the year and is now 15-6 in her last 21 singles matches dating back to the end of last season. She has moved into the Top-10 in both combined singles and doubles wins (32) and career singles victories (19) among Daemen's all-time leaders. Rubio has gone 22-19 in singles play over her career and already ranks seventh in both combined singles and doubles wins (42) and total singles wins (21) among the program's all-time leaders.
