The match was originally set to be played outdoors during the afternoon, but was moved indoors due to rain. The match did not start until 7:30 p.m. and lasted until 11:30 p.m. It marked the first dual match of the year for the host Marauders. Daemen was scheduled to play at Kutztown University today, but that match was canceled when the courts were deemed too wet to play on. Daemen now stands at 3-1 on the year. Millersville took two of the three doubles matches to earn the one point as per NCAA Division II scoring. Daemen's No. 1 singles team of senior Frida Rubio (San Diego, Calif.) and junior Kitsa Scime (Williamsville, N.Y.) suffered a 6-4 loss to senior Noelle Htwar and junior Hui Jen Soo. Daemen took No. 2 doubles, as junior Yinett Del Leon (Cape Coral, Fla.) and freshman Maya Chon (Wichita, Kan.) posted a 6-4 win over junior Chloe Abramowitz and freshman Sido Rault. Millersville earned the point after sophomore Lauren Hayes and sophomore Sophie Lanius posted a 6-4 win over sophomore Carly Armitage (Rochester, N.Y.) and junior Emily Jablonski (Alden, N.Y.). Daemen prevailed at No. 1 and 2 singles, but Millersville secured the win by taking the remaining four singles matches. Rubio battled Htwar at No. 1 singles. Rubio took the first set in a tie-breaker 7-6 (7-5), before Htwar answered with a 6-3 win in set two. Rubio rebounded with a 10-8 win in set three to earn the win.
