AMHERST, N.Y. - In their lone dual match of the fall, the Daemen University women's bowling team defeated Roberts Wesleyan in two of three matches Saturday morning at AMF Lancaster Lanes.
The Wildcats, who have won three of their last four matches dating back to the Niagara Brunswick Fall Open, improved to 22-24 while the Redhawks dropped to 9-15. All three matches were traditionally scored as well.
HIGHLIGHTS
• The Redhawks opened the day with a 914-856 win in the first match of the day. Graduate student
Mollie Gizicki (Brighton, Mich.) led the Blue and White with 204 pins.
• Daemen rebounded in the next match with a resounding 950-872 victory. Gizicki and sophomore
Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) led the Cats with 202 and 204 pins, respectively.
• The Cats ended the day on a high note with a 864-809 win over their regional rivals. Junior
Mackenzie Hutchins (Wheatfield, N.Y.) and Gizicki each knocked down a team-best 191 pins in the winning effort.
• Gizicki led all Daemen bowlers with an average pinfall of 199 per match, her highest average this season in three matches.
• Daemen and Roberts Wesleyan are currently tied 2-2 in the season series, but the Wildcats still lead the all-time series, 39-22.

Daemen ends the fall by hosting the Daemen Storm Fall Classic from Nov. 23 through Nov. 24.
