Wildcats Conclude Day Two at Niagara Brunswick Fall Open

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Daemen University women's bowling team left the Niagara Brunswick Fall Open with a ninth-place finish after two days of competition.
 
Today's action featured four Baker Format matches, and one Baker Format best-of-seven match.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
• Daemen opened the day with a close 823-820 win over crosstown rival D'Youville in the third meeting between the two foes this season. The Wildcats have not lost to the Saints this season across three prior meetings.
• In their next match, Daemen suffered a 941-804 setback to No. 14 Merrimack in the first meeting between the two sides in program history.
• Against RV Mercyhurst, the Wildcats opened with a 190-183 victory in the first game. The Lakers responded with a 146-127 in game two to take the lead for good en route to an 848-810 win.
• Daemen faced tournament hosts No. 25 Niagara in their fourth match of the day. The Purple Eagles led 389-323 after two games and cruised to a 943-793 victory.
• Seeded against Pitt-Bradford in their final game of the day, Daemen secured a 4-0 victory over the Panthers to finish in ninth place. It marked the second 4-0 Baker Format best-of-seven win for the Wildcats this season, with the first instance back on Oct. 20 when they swept Florida A&M on the final day of the Destination Florida Tournament.
