INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the second consecutive day, the Daemen University women's volleyball team split a pair of matches while partaking in the
University of Indianapolis Invitational held at the Ruth Lilly Center and Nicoson Hall. The Wildcats, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to Indiana University of Pennsylvania before defeating Kentucky Wesleyan College in straight sets yesterday, had the opposite happen today. Daemen opened the day with a thrilling 3-2 victory (19-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 15-9) over Maryville University, but had a 3-1 setback (19-25, 25-15, 18-25, 21-25) in their tournament finale against Tiffin University, moving them to 2-2 for the season.
MATCH #1: DAEMEN VS. MARYVILLE
The Wildcats found themselves trailing 2-1 in the match, but rallied for big wins in sets four and five to thwart the Great Lakes Valley Conference-affiliated Saints.
