BACK IN ACTION
The Daemen University women's bowling team is back in action this weekend, competing at the Niagara Brunswick Fall Open on Friday and Saturday, hosted by Niagara University.Â
TOURNAMENT INFO
The two-day tournament begins on Saturday, when the Wildcats will compete against Pitt-Bradford, Niagara, Hilbert, Bryant, and Mount St. Mary's. On Sunday, Daemen faces off against Mercyhurst, D'Youville, William Smith, and Penn State Behrend.
LAST TIME OUT
Daemen last competed at the Grapevine Classic hosted by Penn State Behrend on Oct. 11-12. The Wildcats picked up four wins at the tournament, finishing in second place. Daemen earned a 948-862 victory over Hilbert in their first match and also defeated Pitt-Bradford, 843-675. Mackenzie Hutchins (Wheatfield, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats with an average of 198.2, placing sixth overall. One spot behind her was Brenna Forsha (Tonawanda, N.Y.), who posted an average of 190.40. Additionally, Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) finished 12th with an average of 166.20, and Sabrina Palmer (Waterloo, N.Y.) posted an average of 160.80. On Day 2, the Wildacts earned wins over Hilbert (925-844) and D'Youville (946-775) to claim second. Kayla Richardson (Webster, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats with a 17.6 Baker Average, while Palmer, Forsha, and Papero all finished with a 17.2 Baker Average.Â
ECC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Hutchins was named to the ECC Weekly honor roll on Oct. 16. Hutchins led the Wildcats at the Grapevine Classic, placing sixth out of 47 bowlers during the traditional matches on Saturday. She posted an average of 198.20 with scores of 233 (team-high), 222, 173, 183, 180. She was named to the All-Tournament team. Her efforts helped Daemen earn wins over Hilbert and Pitt-Bradford.Â
NEW AND OLD FACES
Daemen, which posted a 38-41 record during the 2024-25 season, returns six players from last year, including Forsh, who was named to the 2025 ECC Championships All-Tournament Team. In traditional matches, she notched 128 spares, good for second overall on the Wildcats squad. The team also returns senior Hutchins, who completed 665 frames. Additionally, Papero completed 653 frames, and Richardson completed 246 frames. The team welcomed one newcomer in freshman Alyssa Crewe (Lewiston, N.Y.)

The Wildcats remain in the Buffalo area for their next tournament, competing at the Hilbert Hammer Classic Nov. 22-23.Â
