The Wildcats went 1-4 on the day, leading to a 3-7 record overall at the tournament and an eighth-place finish. The day began with Daemen dropping a close match to ECC rival and third-place finisher, Roberts Wesleyan, 818 – 795. Match 2 saw the Wildcats lose to William Smith 986-865. Daemen then responded by defeating D'Youville University, 828-806. It marked the second time in the tournament that the Wildcats beat the Saints. In the first round of the Best of Seven Match, Daemen lost 4-2 to PSU Behrend. In the second round, D'Youville extracted some revenge against the Wildcats in a 4-3 victory. Leading the way for the Wildcats was Brenna Forsha (Tonawanda, N.Y.), who posted a final average of 170. Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) followed her with a 168 final average UP NEXT The Wildcats are back in action Oct. 11-12, returning to Erie, Pa., to compete at the Grapevine Classic hosted by Penn State Behrend.
