10/6/2025 3:00:00 PM

AMHERST, N.Y. — Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, announced by the conference on Monday.

Schultz posted a 2-0 record, a 1.00 GAA, and a .900 save percentage in two games last week, combining for 18 saves in two Daemen victories.

During the Wildcats' win 3-1 at Roberts Wesleyan last Wednesday, Schultz stopped eight shots, including six in the first half. She also recorded some critical stops down the stretch in the second half, helping Daemen maintain its lead.

On Saturday, Schultz recorded 10 saves in a 3-1 defeat over Queens. She made six saves in the first half, then posted four stops in the second.

The goalkeeper leads the ECC in saves (80), saves per game (8.89), and save percentage (.899). She is also third in goals-against average (1.014).

This is the fourth time this season that Schultz has been named Defensive Player of the Week, and the 12th time in her career she has earned the accolade.

The Wildcats are back on the road on Wednesday, traveling to Tiffin for a 1 p.m. contest.
