Wildcats Wrap Up Hilbert Hammer Classic

KENMORE, N.Y.  — Daemen women's bowling wrapped up its final day of competition at the Hilbert Hammer Classic and, for the fall, earned two wins.

The second day of the tournament switched to Baker Format, where the Wildcats recorded a total pinfall of 3,377. Daemen recorded a total tournament pinfall of 8,267, finishing in sixth place. 

The Wildcats recorded back-to-back victories to start the day. Daemen first took down William Smith by an 868-840 margin. The Wildcats then downed crosstown rival D'Youville, 832-790.

Daemen nearly earned its third victory of the day, but was narrowly defeated by Niagara, 854-852. The Wildcats then dropped an 895-825 decision to Mercyhurst before falling 4-0 to Roberts Wesleyan in a Baker Best of Seven match.

Daemen is off until January, when it resumes action at the Northeast Classic in New Castle, Del., being hosted by Sacred Heart.
