HIGHLIGHTS Mercy took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute with a goal by Ancksu Dixon, assisted by Hailey Metzger. Daemen quickly responded when Miranto scored, assisted by Kaitlyn Wright (Geneva, N.Y.) to tie the game at 1-1 in the 24th minute. The Mavericks extended their lead to 2-1 in the 53rd minute when Madison Rosa scored with an assist from Hailey Metzger. Rosa scored again in the 64th minute, followed by Ella Gallino's goal in the 76th minute, making it 4-1 Mercy. Daemen showed early offensive efforts, notably through a shot by Miranto at 4:56 that veered left. Becca Schultz (Grand Island, N.Y.) was pivotal for Daemen, making multiple saves to keep the score level in the first half. Schultz made more critical saves in the second, including one at 57:14 against Rosa, but the Mavericks' pressure continued. Daemen had its lone corner of the game in the 53rd minute, but it could not convert. A second yellow card, resulting in a red card, was issued to Daemen's Taylor Fiegel (Lockport, N.Y.) in the 76th minute, putting the visitors down a player. Despite a late attempt from Wright, the Wildcats could not close the deficit, and the game ended with a 4-1 victory for the Mavericks. GAME NOTES Schultz recorded nine saves over the course of the match, facing 26 shots. She finished the season with 167 saves, breaking her record from last season for the most in the program's Division II era. Miranto scored a goal on one of her two shots, with one shot on target. The senior notched her 15th goal of the season. She ends her career with 49 goals and 117 points, both ranking third in program history. Wright contributed with an assist, ending her season with six helpers. Daemen finished the year with an 11-5-1 overall record.
