YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO – The Daemen University men's track and field team took part in the YSU Mid Major Invitational over the past two days from Jan. 31 through Feb. 1.
Sophomore
Tyler Prescott (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) and sophomore
CJ Johnson (Baltimore, Md.) highlighted the Wildcats efforts at the event.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Starting on the runway, Prescott placed 12
th in the high jump with a final length of 1.80 meters.
• Moving to the track, Johnson placed 12
th and set a new personal best time in the 1000 meters as he clocked in at 2:41.83.
• Also in the men's 1000 meters, sophomore
Brad Tobin (Hamburg, N.Y.) and graduate student
Laertes Cushing (Alfred, N.Y.) each set personal bests with times of 2:46.22 and 2:52.52 respectively.
• Junior
Adam Kamagate (Hilton, N.Y.) placed 29th, the best of any Daemen runner, in the 200 meters and secured a personal best time of 23.41 seconds in the event.
• In the 500 meters, senior
Nolan Robillard (Hamburg, N.Y.) placed 16
th with a time of 1:16.13.
