LAST WEEKEND RECAP
The Daemen University women's bowling team placed eighth at the Niagara Brunswick Spring Classic which took place from Feb. 22 - 23. No. 24 Mercyhurst won the tournament. The 'Cats went 2-2 on day one with an 882-840 win over crosstown rival D'Youville and 890-845 win over Bryant. On day two, the Wildcats split their first two matches of the day, losing to No. 24 Mercyhurst, 895-876, but defeated Pitt Bradford, 972-856. Against No. 19 Merrimack, the highest ranked opponent Daemen played all weekend, the 'Cats commanded an early 387-377 lead after two games. The Warriors won the next three games to win, 925-861. The Wildcats collected a 943-803 victory over William Smith in their ninth match of the day. In all but one game against William Smith, Daemen knocked down 150-or-more pins. Daemen drew Roberts Wesleyan in their final match of the day. After splitting the first two games, the Redhawks rattled back-to-back wins to command a 3-1 series lead. Daemen staved off the loss with a 184-180 win in game five, but the Redhawks sealed the 4-2 series win with a 183-168 victory in the sixth and final game.

ECC HONOR ROLL
Graduate student Mollie Gizicki (Brighton, Mich.) landed on the East Coast Conference Honor Roll after garnering Niagara Purple Eagle Brunswick Spring Classic All-Tournament Team honors this past weekend, leading all Daemen bowlers with a 198.4 total pinfall average. The Daemen graduate student knocked down 237 pins against D'Youville, the most amount of pins knocked down by any Daemen bowler on the first day.

1,000 CLUB
During the fall season, Daemen managed to knock down 1,000-or-more pins on three occasions. The first instance came on Oct. 5 when the Blue and White downed crosstown rival D'Youville 1,032-902 at the Mercyhurst Invitational. Later in the fall at the Daemen Storm Fall Classic, the Wildcats downed then RV Lewis on Nov. 23, 1000-941. Against Lewis, three bowlers tallied 200 pins-or-more with junior Bailey Glass (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) leading the way with 251 total pins. Daemen ended their fall on a high note as they tallied 1,117 pins compared to 774 for Hilbert in their final match of the fall slate on Nov. 24.

WENT TO THE POLLS
The Daemen University women's bowling team was tabbed fourth in the 2024-25 East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced on Sept. 30. It marks the third straight year that the Wildcats were predicted to finish in the top half of the league. It also marks the first time the Wildcats have been tabbed to finish in fourth since the 2018-19 campaign. Bryant University topped the poll with 76 points and seven of nine possible first-place votes. Kutztown University was tabbed second with 66 points and one first-place vote while Molloy University rounded out the top three with 60 points. Daemen was named fourth with 51 points and a first-place vote while local rival Roberts Wesleyan University rounded out the top five with 48 points. D'Youville University (40 points), Adelphi University (30), St. Anselm College (23) and St. Thomas Aquinas College (11) rounded out the remainder of the poll.
