TOURNAMENT INFO There will be 39 teams competing at the Northeast Classic. The tournament begins on Friday with five Baker Format rounds. On Saturday, the competition switches to a traditional format before ending with three rounds of best-of-seven on Sunday. LAST TIME OUT Daemen last competed at the Hilbert Hammer Classic on Nov. 22-23. The Wildcats earned an 853-840 win over host Hilbert and a 1016-927 victory over ECC foe Roberts Wesleyan on the first day. The win over Roberts was the first time the Wildcats broke the 1,000 mark since November 24, 2024. Individually, Sabrina Palmer (Waterloo, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats, placing third out of 61 bowlers with an average score of 192.20. She logged two matches with scores over 200. Brenna Forsha (Tonawanda, N.Y.) placed ninth with an average score of 181.40, Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) finished 15th with an average score of 169.40, and Mackenzie Hutchins (Wheatfield, N.Y.) placed 21st with a 156.20 average. The following day, the tournament switched to Baker Format, where the Wildcats earned wins over William Smith (868-840) and D'Youville (832-790). ECC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL Palmer was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll on Dec. 4, following Daemen's matches at the Hilbert Classic. Palmer led the way for the Wildcats at the tournament, placing third out of 61 bowlers with an average score of 192.20. The junior placed ahead of all bowlers from ECC opponents Roberts Wesleyan and D'Youville and logged two matches with scores over 200, with a 211 against Saint Vincent and a 224 against Roberts Wesleyan. Palmer helped Daemen earn an 853-840 win over Hilbert and a 1016-927 victory over ECC foe Roberts Wesleyan. On the second day of the tournament, Palmer helped Daemen claim wins over William Smith and ECC foe D'Youville. Palmer was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts. BY THE NUMBERS Through this point in the season, Palmer is the team leader in strikes (159) and strike percentage (39.8%). Right behind her is Forsha, who has thrown 156 strikes and posted a strike percentage of 39.2%. Forsha has completed 395 frames for the Wildcats this season, while Palmer has completed 400. Hutchins is the team leader in spares (172). UP NEXT The Wildcats are off for a few weeks before heading back to Delaware for the Wildcat D2/D3 Invitational in Wilmington, Del., on Feb. 13-15.
