The Wildcats scored twice in the first half and were held scoreless after halftime, while Queens scored both of its goals in the second half. Daemen honored their four seniors, Victoria DiCarlo (North Tonawanda, N.Y.), Natalie Krelie (Bath, N.Y.), Brianne Repolio (Haddon Heights, N.J.), and Lily Macfarlane (Murcott, England) before the game. HIGHLIGHTS Daemen got on the board first with a goal from Bridey McKenzie (Amherst, N.Y.) Kaitlin Mettler (Royalton, N.Y.) and Mia Wright (Liverpool, N.Y.) earned assists. The Wildcats expanded their lead to 2-0 in the 29th minute with a goal from Marisa Rickard (North Tonawanda, N.Y.). Mettler and Wright once again assisted. Queens scored in the 62nd minute, cutting Daemen's lead in half at 2-1. The Knights then tied the game at 2-2 in the 82nd minute. Mettler had Daemen's first chance in the 13th minute, when she ripped a shot that was saved. The Wildcats also had a corner in the 13th minute, but they couldn't convert. A minute later, Macayla Hansen (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) fired a shot off target. In the 20th minute, Reese Downey (Hamburg, N.Y.) had a shot stopped by the keeper. Goalkeeper Rylee Kumer (Ambridge, Pa.) made three saves in the first half, keeping the Knights off the scoreboard. DiCarlo put the Wildcats' first shot of the half on frame in the 52nd minute. The Wildcats nearly added to their total in the 78th minute when Rickard hit the top woodwork. Kumer added three more saves in the second half. GAME NOTES McKenzie scored her first career goal. Rickard's goal was her first of the season. Wright tallied two assists, logging her first career multi-assist game. Mettler also posted two assists and registered her first multi-assist contest. Rickard and Hansen led the team with two shots each. Kumer made six saves in 90 minutes. Daemen recorded eight shots, firing five on target. The Wildcats logged one corner, occurring in the first half.
