Four Wildcats finished in the top-10 individually, helping Daemen earn two wins. The Wildcats posted a 2-2 record at the tournament. Daemen began the day defeating Hilbert 863-769. The Wildcats then had a bye/blind round, where they knocked down 924 pins. Daemen dropped a close decision to Roberts Wesleyan by just two pins, 835-833. The Wildcats responded with an 840-800 victory over rival and tournament host, D'Youville. Daemen ended the day putting up a good fight against #10 Niagara, but falling 1038-1011. It marked the second time this season the team has broken the 1,000 mark. Mackenzie Hutchins (Wheatfield, N.Y.) led the Wildcats with an 188.60 average in the tournament, placing second overall. She posted scores of 201, 228, 161, 149, and 204 for a total of 943. Kayla Richardson (Webster, N.Y.) came in fifth with a 183.60 average after logging scores of 193, 171, 185, 176, and 193 for a total of 918. Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) logged an average of 180.00 with scores of 140, 193, 159, 175, and 233 for a 900 total and a sixth-place finish. Sabrina Palmer (Waterloo, N.Y.) came in seventh with an average of 178.80. She logged scores of 168, 176, 166, 183, and 201 for a total of 894 UP NEXT The Wildcats head to Rochester next Saturday to bowl at the Redhawk Invitational. It will be Daemen's final tuneup before the ECC Championships on March 20-22.
