Philipkoski named D2CCA All-American

Philipkoski Lands On D2CCA All-America Third Team

AMHERST, N.Y. -- Zach Philipkoski (New Hartford, N.Y.) of the Daemen University men's basketball team has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America Third Team, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon. The D2CCA All-America Teams and All-Region Basketball Teams are are voted on by the members of D2SIDA, NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association. 

Philipkoski is one of 15 players across the country to earn All-American status by the D2CCA. After being named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II All-America Team on Monday, Philipkoski is one of 10 consensus All-Americans this season. He becomes the third Daemen player to earn consensus All-America, joining Andrew Sischo (2021) and Benjamin Bill (2025) as the only players in program history to earn All-American accolades. 

In his illustrious junior season, the New Hartford, N.Y. native was named the 2026 ECC Player of the Year, D2CCA First Team All-East Region, NABC All-District, First Team All-ECC, and to the Bevo Francis Award Top 25 Watch List this season.  

The 6-foot-4 guard has starred in Daemen's high-powered offense this season, leading the team with a team-high 18 points and 3.7 assists per game along with 7.1 rebounds per game. Philipkoski is shooting 51 percent from the field and is the Wildcats' biggest threat beyond the arc, shooting 41.8 percent from three-point land on the year. Scoring in the double-digits for all but two games this season, Philipkoski totaled 20+ points in 13 different games, and is coming off his most dominant performance yet in the 2026 NCAA Division II East Region championship where he finished with a career-high 40 points after draining 11 three-point field goals. 

A three-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week and one-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week awardee this season, Philipkoski was named the Most Outstanding Player of the East Region tournament after averaging 22 points per game en route to the Wildcats winning the East Region and punching their ticket to the Elite Eight. He was also named to ECC All-Tournament team after averaging 15 points per game en route to Daemen's second straight ECC Tournament title. 

All five players on the third team are consensus All-Americans. Joining Philipkoski is Jeremiah Anderson (Felician), Tyree Campbell (Cal State East Bay), Terry Coner Jr. (Oklahoma Baptist) and Jaylen Wesley (Rockhurst). The second team is comprised of Dallis Dillard (IUP), Lazarek Houston (Central Missouri), Aidan McDowell (Western Colorado), Ross REeves (Nova Southeastern) and Marcus Tomashek (Michigan Tech). Dallas Graziani (Nova Southeastern), Jack Browder (Carson-Newman), Carl Cleveland (Young Harris), Dylan Kuehl (Northern Michigan) and Amondo Miller Jr. (Lubbock Christian) are the first team players. Graziani was named the Ron Lenz Men's Basketball Player of the Year. 

Daemen men's basketball team will play in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight on Wednesday, March 25 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Boasting a 33-1 overall record, the Wildcats garnered the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will face No. 5 seed Lander on Wednesday at 8:30 PM at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
