Bowling Heads to Rochester for Regular Season Finale

REGULAR SEASON FINALE
The Daemen University women's bowling team competes in its final regular season tournament of the year, heading to Rochester to bowl at the Redhawk ROC City Classic. The Wildcats will be facing off against Penn State Behrend, Roberts Wesleyan, D'Youville, and William Smith. 

LAST TIME OUT 
Daemen put on a strong showing at the WNY Blizzard Cup on Sunday. Four Wildcats finished in the top-10 individually, helping Daemen earn two wins. The Wildcats posted a  2-2 record at the tournament. Daemen began the day defeating Hilbert 863-769, then knocked down 924 pins in a blind round. Daemen dropped a close decision to Roberts Wesleyan by just two pins, 835-833, before responding with a 840-800 victory over D'Youville. The Wildcats ended the day putting up a good fight against #10 Niagara, but falling 1038-1011. Mackenzie Hutchins (Wheatfield, N.Y.) led the Wildcats with an 188.60 average in the tournament, placing second overall. Kayla Richardson (Webster, N.Y.) came in fifth with a 183.60 average, and Cassidy Papero (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) logged an average of 180.00, good for a sixth-place finish. Sabrina Palmer (Waterloo, N.Y.) came in seventh with an average of 178.80. 

ECC WEEKLY HONOR ROLL 
Hutchins was named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll on Thursday. She led the Wildcats with an 188.60 average in the tournament, placing second overall. She posted scores of 201, 228, 161, 149, and 204 for a total of 943

BY THE NUMBERS 
Through this point in the season, Forsha is the team leader in strikes (327) and strike percentage (40.0%). Behind her is Palmer, who has thrown 290 strikes and posted a strike percentage of 36.3%. Papero has recorded 281 strikes and a strike percentage of 34.2%. Forsha has completed 809  frames for the Wildcats this season, while Palmer has completed 797, and Papero has completed 418.  Hutchins is the team leader in spares (338), having completed 819 frames.
