AMHERST, N.Y. -- Ethan Keating (Wooster, Ohio) of the Daemen University men's cross country/track & field team has earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon.  In order to be eligible for Academic All-District, the student athletes must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better and have posted a Top-50 individual performance at the 2025 NCAA regional competition for cross country or a Top-50 regional ranking in a single event (indoor or outdoor) this track season. 

In his standout junior campaign, Keating built off his solid sophomore season and stepped in to a role where he placed second on the team in five of Daemen's six cross country meets. Keating posted four personal bests this year, earned First Team All-ECC and USTFCCCA All-East Region honors for the first time in his career. He placed 16th overall at the 2025 NCAA Division II East Region Championship with a time of 32:56.2 to earn All-Region honors as one of the top 25 finishers in the regional.

In the indoor and outdoor track seasons, Keating posted seven Top-50 regional performances, four in the indoor season and three in his outdoor campaign. In the indoor season, Keating placed 10th in the region in the Indoor 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:33.16 at the Houghton December Classic, 16th in the region with a time of 9:03.3 in the Indoor 3,000 meter run at the Highlander Invitational, 19th in the region in the Indoor mile with a time of 4:28.67 at the Brockport Multi and 49th in the region in the Indoor 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.99 at the Nazareth Challenge Cup. In his 2026 outdoor season, Keating posted a 12th place finish in the East Region in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 32:53.87 at the ECC Outdoor Championships, an 18th place regional ranking in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:31.13 at the UB Alumni Invitational and a 35th place regional time of 4:09.48 in the 1,500 meter run at the Blue Devil Invitational. 

A Natural Science-Physical Therapy major, Keating has maintained a 3.94 cumulative GPA.
