AMHERST, N.Y. -- Vice President for Athletics Traci Murphy recently announced promotions within the Daemen University Division of Athletics, which goes into effect August 10. TJ Lavigne,
Jeff Sage and Mike Miranto have all been awarded promotions in their respective fields within the division.
Lavigne has been elevated to the Director of Sport Performance. Serving as the Head Strength and Conditioning coach since 2022, Lavigne has worked as the primary strength and conditioning professional for Daemen's 17 intercollegiate teams, training them on the various aspects of strength training and recovery efforts.Â
Sage has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Performance, elevating his title from Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine and Performance that he has held since 2018. Sage has served in a variety of roles relating to athletic training, strength and conditioning and general healthcare for over 30 years at Daemen.Â
Miranto was named the Deputy Athletic Director for External Operations, an elevation from his previous title of Senior Associate Athletics Director for Operations and Communications. Since his hiring in 2010, Miranto has served a myriad of roles within the division of Athletics, beginning as an assistant men's basketball coach to a decade-long stint in sports information before transitioning into senior administration.
