AMHERST, N.Y. -- For the third consecutive week, Daemen University women's volleyball freshman Audrey Johnson (Mequon, Wisc.) has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday. 

Johnson helped lead the Wildcats to a clean 3-0 sweep over Slippery Rock in Daemen's lone match last week. In the win, the freshman outside hitter tallied seven kills, a team-high three aces and six digs.

On the year, Johnson leads the Wildcats with 132 kills and averages 2.49 kills per set which ranks 10th among ECC leaders. The freshman has 18 aces on the year -- second on the team -- as well as 99 digs and 16 blocks this season. 

Johnson and Daemen open up ECC play this week, traveling downstate to play at St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, Oct. 3 (1 PM) and Mercy on Sunday, Oct. 4 (12 PM).
