Biography

2021-2022 (SENIOR)
Appeared in eight games for the Wildcats... logged season-high 40 minutes in 1-0 overtime loss at District Columbia on Sept. 25.

2020-21 (JUNIOR)
Appeared in 2 out of only 5 total games because of the shortened season ... Mateo played in an away game @ Robert Wesleyan college on March 27th and he also played in the season closing game @ D’Youville. 

2019-20 (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in 15 of the team's 17 games, all in a reserve role ... made his season debut in the 2019 opener, playing 25 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Malone on Sept. 5 ... played a season-high 66 minutes and recorded the first goal of his career vs. Bridgeport on Oct. 5.

2018-19 (FRESHMAN)
Appeared in one game, making his collegiate debut Oct. 9 at nationally-ranked Notre Dame (Ohio). 

BEFORE DAEMEN 
Played for Greece Athena High School and coach Mike Butler, helping the team win Section V championships in 2015 and 2016 ... also played for the Rhinos Elite Soccer Club.

Born Mateo Carlos Astudillo on April 23, 2000 in Rochester, N.Y. ... son of Pablo Astudillo and Jannette Cong ... has two sisters - Cassandra and Isabella Astudillo ... also has a twin brother, Marcelo Astudillo, who also plays soccer at Daemen ... chosen to attend Daemen because "of the close relationships with professors, strong science department and the competitive soccer program to foster development both academically and athletically..." majoring in Biochemistry.
