Daemen Wildcats Gotta Play Fund
The Daemen Wildcats Gotta Play Fund was established as part of the Game On Campaign, a comprehensive fundraising effort to offset diminished revenues and unexpected expenses brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The success of the Game On Campaign will be vital to Daemen's efforts to return teams to intercollegiate athletic competition in 2021. Centered around a "virtual sellout" of Lumsden Gymnasium, there are various giving levels for the Daemen Wildcats Gotta Play Fund which will make an impact on costs associated with COVID-19 testing, student-athlete health and welfare and departmental operations.
Athletics Annual Fund
Gifts to the Athletics Annual Fund give flexibility to address the greatest needs of the men's and women's intercollegiate teams at the discretion of the Director of Athletics. Programmatic support such as academic and life skills, athletic training, sports performance, nutrition and mental health wellness are some areas funded by annual gifts.
Varsity Letter Fund
Gifts to the Varsity Letter Fund provides an opportunity for athletics alumni to give back to their alma mater. All graduates who participated in athletics at Daemen University automatically earned a varsity letter, making you part of an elite group of students. As varsity letter winners, you experienced events and developed relationships unique to your opportunity and talents. Building upon the foundation of the Wildcat Athletics Association, the primary objective of the Varsity Letter Fund is to keep former student-athletes, managers, athletic trainers and coaches involved with Daemen Athletics after their collegiate careers. Donations to this fund will be used to cultivate alumni to return for home athletic events, host events around the country linked to out of town competitions, support further development of the Athletics Hall of Fame, and to provide professional development opportunities for current student-athletes. Student-athlete alumni who donate to the Varsity Letter Fund may be eligible to become members of the Varsity Letter Society.
Sport-Specific Annual Funds
You may designate your gift to a specific sports program. These funds are utilized to address emerging needs of the specific program at the discretion of the Head Coach and Director of Athletics.
Athletics Scholarship Fund
Gifts designated to the Athletics Scholarship Fund are used to recruit the best and brightest prospective student-athletes. Athletic Scholarships absorb over 50% of the annual athletics operating budget.
