Jeff Redband

One of the greatest players in the history of the Daemen men's basketball program, Jeff Redband returned to the DaemenĀ bench in 2022-23 after a one year absence. In this role, Redband assists head coach Mike MacDonald and his staff with the day-to-day operations and management of the program, including on-floor coaching, recruiting, scouting of opponents and various administrative tasks.

After redshirting as a true freshman, Redband went on to play a major role in the success of Daemen teams from 2016-20, a period that produced 89 wins - tied for the most in any four-year stretch in program history. His 316 three-point field goals are the most for any player in team history, and rank third among the all-time East Coast Conference (ECC) leaders. Redband also finished his career with 1,422 points, good for ninth on Daemen's all-time scoring list. He's one of five players to appear in at least 120 games, and tied with Brian Montanaro for the most games started with 117. He also holds the program record for career free throw percentage (.880) and was the first player in team history with at least 100 blocked shots and 100 steals. Redband was also recognized for academic achievement with three selections to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

A native of Batavia, N.Y., Redband originally came to DaemenĀ after a stellar prep career for the Batavia Blue Devils. He was a two-time Monroe County Division IV Player of the Year and All-Greater Rochester selection.Ā

Redband is a 2019 graduate of Daemen's business administration program.Ā
