2022-23 (SOPHOMORE)
Played in 22 of 28 games in his first season at Daemen...averaged 8.6 minutes...scored a season high 13 points in just 12 minutes in an eary season win over Clarion...also netted 11 points in just 10 minutes in a late season win over Staten Island.

2021-22 (FRESHMAN)
Member of the men’s basketball team at Division I University of Stony Brook … played in four games for the Seawolves, who finished 18-13 overall and 10-8 in the America East Conference … played three minutes and hit two three-pointers in a loss at Kansas … played 12 minutes in a loss to Wagner and totaled seven points … played a season-high 17 minutes and scored six points in a win over Framingdale State.

BEFORE DAEMEN
Spent the 2020-21 season at The Woodstock Academy in Woodstock, Conn. … played high school basketball at Jamesville-DeWitt High School and averaged nearly 23 points per game in his final season … led team to the Section III title game ... fourth-team all-state ... two-time All-CNY team from Syracuse.com.

PERSONAL
Son of Ashley and Preston Shumpert ... his brother, Preston, is also on the Daemen men's basketball program ... father played at Syracuse from 1998 to 2002, as well as professionally in Italy and Turkey from 2002 to 2013.
