Eric Steinwachs begins his first season as an assistant coach at Daemen in 2022. Steinwachs comes to Daemen after previously serving as an assistant coach at Binghamton University in 2021 and SUNY Cortland from 2017-19. During his time at Cortland he helped assist the Red Dragons to a 41-14-6 record, two NCAA Tournament appearances, a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2018 and two regular season SUNYAC titles (in 2017 and 2018).
Steinwachs was directly involved in goalkeeper training at Cortland, where in 2018, the Red Dragons ranked third nationally in shutouts and No. 13 in goals-against average. He also was involved with various aspects of recruiting. Steinwachs has also served as a volunteer assistant coach at Ithaca College and Williamsville East High School.
A 2017 graduate of Mercyhurst University, Steinwachs was a forward on the men's soccer team which captured a pair of PSAC titles. He attended Williamsville North High School and was named to first team All-ECIC during senior season.
