Michael Hagarty

Michael Hagarty enters his second season as graduate assistant on the Daemen College men's soccer coaching staff in 2017.

A native of Wellington, New Zealand, Hagarty came to Daemen after completing his college career at the University of Charleston (W. Va.) in 2015.  Over his four-year career for the Golden Eagles, Hagarty appeared in 73 games while making 63 starts and totaling seven goals, nine assists and 23 points as a midfielder.  In that time, UC went 67-11-6 and captured four straight conference championships (West Virginia Intercollegiate Conference - 2012; Mountain East Conference - 2013, 2014, 2015).  Hagarty's run of success with the Golden Eagles also included a runner-up finish in the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championships and a run back to the Final Four in 2015.

Hagarty holds previous coaching experience with the West Virginia Futbol Club based in Charleston, assisting with training sessions for the club's under-eight and under-ten programs.  He also contributed to the "Football in Schools" program for Capital Football in his native New Zealand, conducting training sessions at local primary schools and indoor facilities.

Hagarty graduated from UC in the spring of 2016 with degrees in Business Administration and Sport Management.  A Dean's List honoree, Hagarty was named as the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Academic Achievement Award, and was also a Mountain East Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree.
