Peter Petruzzo begins his second season as an assistant coach on the Daemen men's soccer staff in 2022. In this role, Petruzzo assists head coach Bediako Swan with all facets of the program, including on-field coaching, recruiting and scouting of opponents.
This is Petruzzo's second stop as a collegiate coach. He broke into the collegiate coaching ranks at his alma mater, D'Youville College, where he primarily worked with the team's goalkeepers from 2019-20. In that time, he coached players responsible for the best single-season goals against average in program history.
Petruzzo has also been active on the club soccer scene, working with the Clarence Soccer Club, serving as both a goalkeeper coach as well as a head coach of various age levels.
Petruzzo is a 2018 graduate of D'Youville where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with minors in Accounting and Health Services Administration. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration Degree from Niagara University.
Petruzzo works full-time as a solutions sale specialist at Ingram Micro in Amherst.
