Biography

AS A FRESHMAN (2018-19): Was one of four goalkeepers to see action, appearing in two games, both of which he started and went the distance ... faced 52 total shots and made 25 saves ... posted a 4.00 goals-against average and a .758 save percentage ... made his collegiate debut on Oct. 17 at District of Columbia where he made 10 saves despite suffering a 4-3 loss ... made a second consecutive start on Oct. 20 at #9 LIU Post where he made 15 saves in a 4-0 loss ... first Daemen player with 10 or more saves in back-to-back games since Matt Daddario in 2012. 

AT CHEEKTOWAGA HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year varsity player for the Cheektowaga Warriors and coach Matthew Haberl ... two-time team Defensive Player of the Year ... as a senior, served as the team's co-captain was named to the All-ECIC III First Team ... two-time Frontier Kick Off All-Tournament Team selection, including tourney MVP as a junior ... finished his career with seven shutouts, ranking fourth in program history ... also ranked third in program history with a 1.67 goals-against average for his career ... also earned three varsity letters for tennis ... member of the Science Honor Society and French Honor Society ... scholar athlete. 

PERSONAL: Born Ryan Anthony Moretta on September 28, 2000 in Buffalo, N.Y. ... son of Anthony & Kimberly Moretta ... hobbies include playing soccer, attending concerts, watching television, hanging out with friends, making new friends and staying active ... chose to attend Daemen because he felt an instant connected the second he stepped on campus, the physical therapy program is top notch, and the student-to-teacher ratio is exactly what he was looking for ... majoring in Physical Therapy.
