Biography

2022-23 (SENIOR)
Appeared in 7 games (1 start) for the Wildcats… scored one goal at Staten Island on Oct. 26. … recorded three total shots on goal … averaged 37 minutes per game ... helped Daemen’s defense record an NCAA-era record fewest goals allowed (26) in a season while holding 12 of their 17 opponents to one goal or less … was a part of a Daemen team that tied the program record for most wins (7) in a season and posted a program high 5th place finish in ECC play.

2021-22 (JUNIOR)
Appeared in 12 games (nine starts) for the Wildcats... finished tied for fourth in goals (2), assists (1) and total points (5)... scored game-winning goal as part of three-point outing in 2-1 win at Malone on Sept. 4... later scored in 4-1 win at D'Youville on Sept. 18... recorded three total shots on goal this season... one of 14 players to record at least one point during season.

2020-21 (SOPHOMORE)
Did not appear in any games.

2019-20 (FRESHMAN)
Appeared in and started 16 of the team's 17 games ... one of just two players to make at least 16 starts ... led team with 1,367 minutes ... played 90 minutes or more in 13 games ... made his collegiate debut in the 2019 opener vs. Malone on Sept. 5 ... played a season-high 100 minutes vs. Walsh on Sept. 7.

BEFORE DAEMEN 
Three-year varsity player for the Williamsville East Flames and coach Jeff Librock ... three-time first-team All-ECIC selection, and the 2017 ECIC II Player of the Year ... scored 58 goals in his career ... two-time first-team All-WNY selection, including as a senior when he notched 26 goals and 10 assists ... led the Flames to consecutive ECIC II championships ... also led the team to the Section VI Class A-1 and overall Class A championships as a senior, advancing to the Far West Regional championship game ... honor roll student and National Honor Society member ... also competed for Global Premier Soccer, winning the Manhattan Classic championship and advancing to the state final four for club teams.

Born Joseph Daniel Buscaglia III on January 25, 2001 in East Amherst, N.Y. ... son of Joseph and Margaret Buscaglia ... has one sister, Bella Buscaglia, and two brothers, Luca and Nico Buscaglia ... hobbies include playing soccer and being with family ... has spent time as a member of Amherst Youth Court and the Amherst Youth Police Academy ... chose to attend Daemen because "I wanted a small, local school to play soccer and continue my educational pathway..." earned his undergraduate degree in business administration.
