2025-26 (JUNIOR)
CSC Academic All-District... Mergens returned to the lineup and played in 18 of Daemen's 19 dual matches... moved up in the Wildcat lineup this season and found success at No. 1 doubles, finishing with a 6-12 record at top doubles... played in five of the six singles positions, finishing with a 4-14 record in singles action but finding wins at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles spots... logged a longest doubles win streak of 2… earned a No. 3 singles win (6-1, 6-1) and added a No. 1 doubles win (6-1) vs Nazareth on Sep. 28… notched a No. 1 singles win vs Oswego on Oct. 19 (6-4, 6-1) and paired for a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles… rallied for a three-set No. 3 singles win vs West Liberty on Feb. 14 (6-2, 1-6, 6-3) and teamed for a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles… won at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0) and added a 6-1 doubles win at No. 1 vs Houghton on Apr. 7

Born Lasse Mergens on July 29, 2003 in Witten, Germany... son of Oliver and Antje Mergens... has one older sister, Annika Mergens... hobbies include tennis and playing piano... visiting every continent is on his bucket list... majoring in Sports Management... chose to attend Daemen because "the campus and the whole Buffalo area looks like it is the place to be!"
