Sheehan was named the Director of Student Athlete Success & Community Engagement in January 2025.

A Rochester, N.Y. native, Sheehan arrived at Daemen after a seven month stint at Syracuse University where she worked as the Assistant Academic Coordinator for the Orange football team. With a caseload of the most at-risk athletes on the football team at Syracuse, she helped some athletes that entered college on academic probation raise their grade point average to over a 2.5 in just one semester. A 2020 graduate of the Sports Administration program at Kent State University, Sheehan spent a few years working in professional sports, first in New Orleans, La. where she was doing sales for the New Orleans Pelicans and New Orleans Saints before moving to Miami, Fla. where she did sales for the Miami Dolphins and moved on to work coordinating and event planning for the Miami Marlins. From there, she went back to school and completed a master's degree in sports administration from the University of Cincinnati which she completed in 2024.

As the Director of Student Athlete Success & Community Engagement, Sheehan will be responsible for meeting with the Daemen student athletes from all 17 intercollegiate teams and helping keep everyone academically eligible while also meeting regularly with freshmen and transfers to make sure they are meshing well into the school and their respective programs. With an education focused approach, Sheehan appreciates the NCAA Division II model that puts an emphasis on the student part of "student athlete." She will also oversee Daemen's Student Athlete Academic Council (SAAC) where she plans to build the community service and community outreach aspect to serve the city of Buffalo while helping the Daemen student athletes get more involved in the community.
