The 2022-23 academic year marks Maura McCabe's first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Daemen women's lacrosse program. In this role, she assists head coach Dominique Hamman with all facets of the program, including on-field coaching, scouting of opponents and recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
A native of Orchard Park, N.Y., McCabe is a 2022 graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo where she earned a bachelor's degree in political science. McCabe was also a three-year member of Geneseo's women's lacrosse program. In that time, she helped the Knights achieve a 25-8 record.
While this is McCabe's first foray into collegiate coaching, she holds several years of coaching experience with the Orchard Park Lacrosse Program where she has worked with athletes from ages 6-18.Â
