Former Wildcat soccer player and Daemen College graduate Ryan McCaffery enters his fourth season on the women's soccer coaching staff n 2016. McCaffery primarily works with the Wildcats' goalkeepers.
Before coming back to work on the Daemen coaching staff, McCaffery also served as a coach for the boys soccer team at Sweet Home High School, his alma mater, a position he held beginning in 2003. In his time there, McCaffery has helped guide the Panthers to a pair of Section VI Championships (2004, 2010). He is also active in the club soccer scene, coaching with Empire Revolution Soccer Club.
As a player, McCaffery enjoyed a stellar scholastic career from 1994-97, earning All-Western New York accolades. He was a member of Daemen's inagurual men's soccer team in 2000 before graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education. He later added a Master's Degree in Art Education from Buffalo State College.
McCaffery holds a New York State Public High Schools Athletic Assocation Coaching Certification in addition to USSF National "E" and "D" Licenses.
McCaffery is employed as an art teacher at Sweet Home Middle School.
