Biography

CAREER
Eichel played in 52 of a possible 55 games (50 starts) over her four-year career and was a part of Daemen's first-ever NCAA Division II tournament team in 2019. She earned all-conference honors twice in her four-year career (First Team in 2022 and Second Team in 2021).

2022-23 (SENIOR)

All-ECC First Team selection... two-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week honoree... appeared in and started all 17 games for the Wildcats... one of just three players to start all 17 games this season... recorded 90 minutes in all but six games... ranked first on the team in minutes played (1,441) to average... was a pivotal part of a Daemen defense that held their final five opponents to just three combined goals scored... headed up a defense that limited 13 of its 17 opponents to two goals or less... helped the Wildcats to a fourth place finish in the ECC and their 4th consecutive postseason berth.

2021-22 (JUNIOR)
One of seven players to appear and start all 16 games for the Wildcats... All-ECC Second Team selection... part of defensive unit that allowed 20 total goals during season (tied with Bridgeport for third fewest in ECC)... logged a career-high 110 minutes in 2-2 draw at Bridgeport on Oct. 16... played the full 90 minutes in 13 different contests.

2020-21 (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in and started three of the team's four games during an unorthodox season that was greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic ... played the full 90 minutes in matchups with St. Rose (March 27) and D'Youville (April 11) ... helped anchor a Daemen defense that pitched a pair of shutouts vs. D'Youville on April 11 and April 17. 

2019-20 (FRESHMAN) 
Appeared in 16 games and made 14 starts ... played 90 minutes or more in 12 contests ... part of a defensive unit that allowed just 13 goals throughout the course of the regular season ... made her collegiate debut in a 7-0 win over Urbana on Sept. 6 ... made her first career start at Mansfield on Sept. 8 ... played a season-high 103 minutes in Daemen's 0-0 tie with Roberts Wesleyan on Oct. 26 ... member of the starting lineup in Daemen's first-ever NCAA tournament game vs. St. Rose on Nov. 22.

BEFORE DAEMEN 
Earned three varsity letters while playing for the perennial powerhouse Grand Island Vikings and coach Dave Bowman ... led the Vikings to three straight Niagara Frontier League championships, as well as two Section VI Class A championships (2016, 2017) ... served as team captain and earned first-team All-NFL honors as a senior ... was also a second-team All-NFL pick as a junior ... also lettered in basketball and lacrosse ... scholar athlete and honor roll student ... was also active on the club soccer scene, playing for WNY Flash, Empire United and Global Premier Soccer ... member of State Cup winning team in 2014.

Born Julia Rose Eichel on March 16, 2001 in Grand Island, N.Y. ... daughter of James and Patricia Eichel ... siblings include Jared, Sam and Brooke Eichel ... hobbies include photography, playing soccer, basketball and lacrosse ... volunteers with Children's Ministries at Cornerstone Church in her native Grand Island ... majoring in Childhood Education.
